The Bachelor: Summer Games have officially been canceled amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bachelor: Summer Games are no longer taking place as ABC officially cancels it amidst the coronavirus pandemic and the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics, which are now taking place in 2021. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering the number of shows and movies that have halted production given the recent circumstances.

Bachelor Nation has already been affected by the recent pandemic after postponing Clare Crawley’s The Bachelorette. The Summer Games spin-off was simply taking place to go along with the Summer Olympics, so again, not a shocker.

Although ABC never officially announced the spin-off (we didn’t get any promos or trailers), it was set to have previous Bachelor Nation alums that would compete in games and of course, fall in love. Unfortunately, we won’t see this happen, but who knows, perhaps it may take place next summer.

Some of you might remember, back in 2018, The Bachelor: Winter Games took place in which guest star Nancy Kerrigan even made an appearance (how cool is that!?). Perhaps, we’ll get a glimpse of something similar next summer.

In any case, while shows have been postponed and canceled, we still have one franchise show to look forward to–Listen to Your Heart! Music and love will come together to give us a season of the usual drama and shenanigans, which I can think we can all use a little bit of in these difficult times.

Not to mention, it would appear that we are going to see some of our favorite Bachelor Nation shows on a streaming service very soon according to host Chris Harrison and showrunner/creator Mike Fleiss.

I’m super excited about this because there are some past seasons that are so worth watching all over again. With all of us practicing social distancing, it’s a great time to rewatch some of those iconic seasons (JoJo Fletcher, anyone?).

Or what about Ben Higgins or Becca Kufrin’s seasons? I’d love to see them again!

However, there are some alums that would rather not see themselves living through that journey again. Namely, Sean Lowe who isn’t too eager to see his season again. And can we blame him? It’s a bit too much to have to see all of that drama once again.

Next. The Bachelor: Sean Lowe does not want his season on Netflix. dark
