How is the current coronavirus pandemic affecting Bachelor Nation shows?
Bachelor Nation shows, specifically, The Bachelorette, have been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fans of the franchise are curious as to how this will affect all the shows, and when we can expect production to ramp up again.
Given the fluidity of the current situation, it’s hard to know when filming may begin again, or how this will affect the other Bachelor Nation shows. During regular scheduling, Bachelor in Paradise airs in the summer following a season of The Bachelorette, but that may not be the case anymore. In fact, the show could potentially not be airing this year due to the schedule changes.
Time will tell how things will play out in the coming weeks and months. But until we know more, let’s talk through how some of these shows will be impacted based on what we do know.
The Bachelorette
Clare Crawley has been named the newest Bachelorette, and boy, have we been excited. However, amidst the recent production halt, her season is directly affected as it was about to begin filming. The Warner Bros. Television Group released a statement regarding the manner and how it would impact all their shows and pilots.
"With the rapidly changing events related to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, Warner Bros. Television Group is halting production on some of our 70+ series and pilots currently filming or about to begin. The health and safety of our employees, casts and crews remains our top priority. During this time, we will continue to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control as well as local officials and public health professionals in each city where our productions are based."
Bachelorette Clare posted on her Instagram in response to the production halt with a very understanding and encouraging note.
She understands the extent of what is happening but we also know the blonde babe is hopeful to meet her possible husband through the experience and we are HERE FOR IT.
