The time Arie Luyendyk Jr. changed his mind

Ah, yes, Arie, Arie, Arie. It wasn’t that long ago that past Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. changed his mind on who he wanted to be with. This one was a tough ending to get through, and our hearts went out to Arie’s first initial choice, Becca Kufrin, whom he picked over Lauren Burnham during the final rose ceremony.

Things seemed like they were on their way to happy ending until, PSYCH, Arie started having doubts over not picking Lauren. We all remember watching the cringe-worthy moment he told Becca that he had decided to be with Lauren instead.

What was supposed to be a conversation with Lauren about closure, turned into Arie completely changing his mind. It’s a moment that won’t soon leave our minds even with Becca Kufrin now engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen, one of the contestants on her season of The Bachelorette, and Arie happy with Lauren and their daughter.

As I said, things don’t always go as planned on The Bachelor, and while we always hope for the season to end on a “happily ever after” note with a fairytale proposal and wedding to follow–that is not always the case.

But hey, everything happens for a reason, right?
