The Bachelorette season 15 contestant, Tyler Gwozdz passes away at the age of 29.
The Bachelorette season 15 lost one of its contestants, 29-year old Tyler Gwozdz, earlier this week to a supposed “medical overdose”. Not a lot of details have been released but according to The Hollywood Reporter, The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office did confirm they had someone by the name of Gwozdz.
It would appear that on Jan. 13th, the Boca Raton Police Department responded to a call involving Gwozdz for which he was hospitalized and treated in the intensive care unit. So just a little over a week later, a similar incident seems to be what has taken his life.
Gwozdz appeared on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, and from my knowledge, scored the first one-on-one date with her as well. It’s strange because around the third week, Gwozdz was eliminated from the show with no explanation.
I remember even thinking about him and his absence, and recall Hannah Brown making a comment about his elimination.
"Tyler G. had to leave, and that’s upsetting because I really enjoyed my date with him."
The reason behind why he was sent home still remains a mystery, as do the circumstances behind his death. But there is a Reddit thread that made aggressive claims against Gwozdz, which he denied and refused to engage with at the time based on “totally unsubstantiated rumors”.
Bachelor Nation is mourning the loss of Gwozdz today, and hope that all his loved ones are finding patience and answers during this incredibly difficult time.
ABC, Hannah Brown, along with any official individuals associated with Bachelor Nation have yet to comment on Gwozdz’s passing.
Our thoughts are with the Gwozdz family during this very difficult time.
