Was Hannah G. yet another contestant affected by editing in Bachelor in Paradise?

Bachelor in Paradise had quite a dramatic sixth season but it ended in plenty of love stories that we’ve been gushing over since the finale. One, in particular, is that of Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour. From the get-go, Dylan was head over heels about Hannah–that was very obvious. The same cannot be said about Hannah G., however.

At least that’s what Bachelor in Paradise would have us believe, anyway. I think by now it comes as no surprise at all that this franchise loves to edit things for dramatic effect. It would appear that the same thing happened with Hannah G. when it came the whole love triangle situation that we saw unfold during season 6.

However, Dylan and Hannah G. both have been speaking out during interviews to state this was very much not the case. That certain aspects of their story were greatly edited and altered, especially including Hannah’s personality. I can see why that is so frustrating because to the viewers, Hannah came off as a player and indecisive.

While speaking with Glamour, Hannah had a little something to say about the whole ordeal.

"As soon as I said yes [to Jordan], the first thing I thought was, ‘Dylan.’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! This dude. I swear in my head I was like, I love him. Literally, it was so strong."

Honestly, this clears up so many questions in mind since Bachelor in Paradise ended. From the way it looked to everyone else, it just seemed like Hannah went from Blake to Dylan so fast. They showed she was so smitten over Dylan but didn’t show much of what happened leading up to that.

Dylan had a comment or two to make on that during the same interview.

"I’ve said it before, but I feel like a lot of people think Hannah is one person, but she’s the complete opposite. She’s hilarious, sassy, really smart, really driven. I didn’t know what to expect, and when I got there, she just blew me away."

Could they stop being the most adorable couple ever? K, thanks.

But wait, Hannah said even cuter things during another Glamour interview, and this might be the sweetest thing ever.

"The hours and hours and hours and hours of conversations that [Dylan and I] had about life, about each other, about…even me also really pursuing [Dylan], and having my struggles with all of that. I think [‘BiP’] showed some parts of it, but I don’t think they fully showed how much I was leaning toward Dylan."

Well, that’s just not nice, is it? I know this is reality television, and if they were to show exactly how everything is playing out, then it’d be boring. But it stinks that editing is taken to such a degree that it completely alters things about the contestants.

A lot of people started resenting Hannah G. for how she was treating Dylan, and it’s unfair that it was simply a lot of editing that changed everything about their love story. Not cool, guys!

In any case, Hannah G. and Dylan are very, very happy now, and seem like they’re falling more and more in love with each other every day. Not even editing can take away from what they truly share! I know, that was cheesy–but so true.
