Where were Nicole Lopez-Alvar and Clay Harbor during the Bachelor in Paradise season 6 finale?
Bachelor in Paradise has ended and even though it’s almost been a week since the finale, there are many of us still processing what went down. There were a lot of happy endings, engagements, proposals, and moments to celebrate. However, that was not the case for everyone.
Blake Horstmann was seen getting the third degree in the hot seat, but there was another contestant who seemed to be MIA from the entire episode–Clay Harbor. At this point, Bachelor Nation knows a bit about what went down between Harbor and Nicole Lopez-Alvar.
As seen in the Bachelor in Paradise season 6 finale, Nicole ended their relationship after Clay decided to spend the night of Fantasy Suites alone and then refused to take their relationship to the next level on the morning of proposals. Instead, he asked if they could continue dating outside of Paradise and get to know one another.
Nicole wasn’t exactly on board with this plan as she could sense that Clay didn’t intend on moving things along any time soon. She bid him farewell and went on her way, rejecting any idea to walk off the beach without a ring on her finger.
The three-hour finale played out without any sign of Nicole or Clay, and it left Bachelor Nation wondering why we didn’t get to catch up with them after that dramatic day. I don’t think we still have any answers, but the official Bachelor in Paradise Twitter account did release their entire conversation with Chris Harrison. Take a peek at it below!
During their conversation, it became very obvious that neither of them was happy to see each other. Nicole was adamant about sticking up for herself while Clay insisted on explaining his decision. But it didn’t stop there. The salty anger carried into social media as Clay came to his own defense after being attacked by fans for hurting Nicole.
Nicole posted an inspirational message on Instagram explaining why she what she did and why it was so important for her to walk away from this.
Who is right? Who is wrong? Is there even a right and wrong here? I think whatever our opinions are regarding this situation, there is something to be taken away from both of them.
