The second of this week’s Bachelor in Paradise forced all the couples to decide if they were going to continue their relationship after paradise or not. Some couples chose to split, but several others will head to the fantasy suites next week.
Bachelor in Paradise kicked off by giving the episode’s first date to Hannah and Dylan. They went to a kid’s birthday party and it became clear that Dylan is great around children. Needless to say, the date went very well, and they ended the day by saying “I love you” to one another. Cue the aww’s.
Nursing a broken heart during this episode was Connor. Apparently, he expressed interest in Whitney, someone he had met during Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson’s wedding. He said if she didn’t arrive in paradise, he would consider going home.
Unfortunately for Connor, he decided to leave paradise just as Whitney was heading there. She arrived for Connor only and decided to leave paradise and chase him to the hotel. Surprised and ecstatic to see Whitney, Connor was eager to spend more time with her.
Clay and Nicole went on the second date of the night. Neither of them had said they loved each other yet, but Nicole shared that she almost said it earlier. Clay said he was falling in love with Nicole but he was not in love with her yet, which made her nervous.
Tayshia and John Paul Jones had a fun date during which Tayshia decided to draw JPJ. She wanted to re-create the picture from Titanic. JPJ was wearing a very silly denim speedo. The final result made them both laugh and they had a great time, they bonded more than they ever have before.
Chris and Katie’s relationship seemed to be on the rocks. Chris expressed not being sure of their relationship. Katie went to bed visibly sad and upset. They agreed to work it out the next day. But before the cocktail party began, Chris Harrison announced he was canceling the party. He wanted everyone to collect their thoughts and go to the rose ceremony right away.
Luke, Haley, and Sydney went home. The next day, Chris Harrison arrived to tell everyone paradise was at an end. He wanted the couples to have serious talks about if they were going to take their next steps together or not.
Bri said she didn’t want to continue a relationship with Matt because he only seemed into her looks and not her personality. Chase and Angela decided to call it quits too. JPJ confessed his love for Tayshia. But she didn’t seem to reciprocate and they too parted ways.
Chris expressed being unsure about his relationship with Katie. But they decided to keep giving it a shot and have dinner together. The other couples who chose to continue developing their relationship were Hannah and Dylan, Clay and Nicole, and Kristian and Demi. Chris sent the couples to their dinners and fantasy suites.
Next Tuesday is the season 6 finale of Bachelor in Paradise. The reunion show is after the finale too! Bachelor Nation will have a quiet Monday, but there will be a lot to unpack on Tuesday, including who the new Bachelor will be. Any guesses as to who that is?
See you guys next week!
The Bachelor in Paradise season 6 finale airs Tuesday, September 17th on ABC at 8 PM EST!
