Bachelor in Paradise produces yet another engaged couple, and this time around, it’s Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt.

Bachelor in Paradise is known for churning out engaged couples either at the conclusion of the show or in the days, months, and years after. Such is the case for Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt, who first came together during the show’s fifth season last year.

Last week, on Aug. 28th, Wendt proposed to Loch in Toronto, catching her completely by surprise, and melting Bachelor Nation’s heart in the process. Unbeknownst to Loch, Wendt had this proposal planned for quite some time and had been eagerly awaiting the exact right moment to pull it off.

What was supposed to be a quiet, romantic picnic turned out to be the greatest surprise of Loch’s life–and Bachelor Nation is here for it. If you want to gush and swoon over all the details of the proposal, PEOPLE got the exclusive on it and everything they have to say is over-the-top-adorable.

For someone who usually catches onto surprises, Loch had no idea that a Bachelor in Paradise romance was going to lead to this surprise proposal. Her Instagram post of the whole ordeal will give you all the feels in the world, and perhaps leave you feeling a little bit jealous.

The tiny details that went into Wendt’s plan to propose was fitting to the type of couple they are. From the casual attire they were both in to the custom ring he made for Loch, everything was perfect. And I mean perfect.

"We’re very simple people. We were both in jeans and a T-shirt and a tank top [when we got engaged], which is just how we are every single day, which is so us, rather than some crazy, fancy thing. So the ring definitely reflects both of our personalities. And he got a cute little inside joke engraved in it."

I think I hear all of Bachelor Nation saying “aww” across the world right now. And that reaction would be right. We are sending our congratulations and love to the newly engaged couple. Thank you for reminding us that paradise exists outside of Bachelor in Paradise.
