On this week’s second episode of Bachelor in Paradise, there are many people coupled up, but some relationships are stronger than others. Demi and Derek are on the rocks, and so is the connection between Chris and Katie. And then, there’s that plot twist we sort of saw coming.
Bachelor in Paradise left off with Demi asking to speak to Chris Harrison. Demi expressed missing Kristian and not wanting to lead Derek on. Kristina kept flirting with Blake and Caitlin confronted her. Caitlin stated she wanted to get to know Blake and didn’t want Kristina to continue pursuing a friendship rose.
Jen Saviano (dated Nick Viall during season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise and Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor) was the first to arrive in paradise tonight. After speaking to Blake and Dean, Jen decided to ask Chris on her date. Katie had mentioned earlier that she was okay with Chris dating other women. But she regretted saying that once Chris agreed to spend time with Jen.
Chris and Jen had a romantic date on a catamaran, but the bliss quickly ended when Chris was nauseous and vomiting over the boat. When they arrived back in paradise, Chris said he had something planned to make it up to Jen.

Meanwhile, Chris Harrison came back to surprise Demi with Kristian, who had come to Paradise to be with Demi. Demi was completely ecstatic to see Kristian and decided to break up with Derek. Derek handled the breakup very well and wanted to meet Kristian before she was introduced to everyone else. He’s the hero we don’t deserve.
Demi and Kristian went on a date, and Kristian expressed her concerns about Demi caring for another person so deeply. Demi shared that she thought about Kristian more and more during her time with Derek. Their date ended well, and they will continue to date while in paradise.
But how will the rose ceremonies go from here on out? Will Demi get a rose each time? We’ll have to wait and see what happens next week on Bachelor in Paradise!
