Dylan > Blake

I mean, come on. Is it even a competition? Nah, not at all. In more ways than one, Dylan Barbour is better than Blake Horstmann. Let’s just start with the fact that even before coming on Bachelor in Paradise, Horstmann had slept with Kristina Schulman and Caelynn Miller-Keyes. Not to mention, he was sliding into Hannah G.’s DMs and even flew out to Alabama to see her a week before heading to Mexico.

And once he got to Mexico, he took Tayshia out on a date, bringing her into the mix of all this ridiculous drama. Once he lost all hope, he began going after Hannah G., knowing how much Dylan is into her. That’s simply not what Dylan would have done to anyone.

My heart went out to Dylan when he witnessed Hannah G. and Blake making out and dancing around, without any care in the world. Like, can’t you go to a different corner of the beach?

Now I’m not saying that Hannah G. is a villain in all of this. She has a right to explore her options especially given the premise of the show. However, I think she is handling it poorly and not taking the time to understand and evaluate who would make a better life partner. She’s a people pleaser, as she has said so herself, so I feel like she keeps trying to avoid confrontation.

But in all of this, she is missing the bigger picture, and it could cost her someone special.

He is a gentleman through and through

Last but not least, Dylan seems like a pretty stand up guy. I know we don’t actually know him and can’t definitively say that he’s this amazing human without proof. But based on what we’ve seen on Bachelor in Paradise so far, I’d say we have the proof we need, especially when you compare him to Blake.

If you’ve read up on Dylan and how he is outside of Bachelor Nation, you’d be surprised to learn that there is more than meets the eye. He’s not just a cheesy goofball interested in a girl that isn’t reciprocating nearly as much, he’s also the co-founder of a fitness company, Vizer. The idea behind the company? Allowing “people to work out while donating food to those in need.” See, what did I tell you?

As we saw back during his intro video in The Bachelorette, Barbour lost his dad to cancer, and if you’ve perused through his Instagram, you’ve seen all the emotional and beautiful posts he’s written in his honor. An emotionally available guy? He must be a myth.

Oh, and if all this doesn’t convince you that he’s the guy Hannah G. should be going for, then I’d just like to put it out there–he cooks too.
