Vanessa Grimaldi, Nick Viall duke it out over the Haibon/Iaconetti wedding
Vanessa Grimaldi blames ex Nick Viall for her not receiving an invitation to Jared Haibon’s wedding. Here are all the dirty deets.
Their relationship may be long over, but the drama is never ending between former Bachelor couple Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi. On a recent episode of the Help! I Suck at Dating With Dean, Vanessa and Jared podcast, Vanessa pointed a finger at her ex for standing in the way of her attending the upcoming wedding of Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon.
At first, Vanessa seemed to handle her lack of an invitation in a very mature way. Upon revisiting the subject, though, she had some thoughts and some actual tears.
"I totally get it … I mean I assume, I mean, I understand and I guess, I don’t want to make an ass of myself by making an assumption, but I assume it’s because of a particular person and I get that, and like I said, I’m not mad, I’m not anything, I’m mostly just sad."
Why would she think that ex Nick Viall was the root cause of her unhappiness? This is due to the fact that Nick will be a groomsman on Jared’s big day. Vanessa thinks that because he is a part of the wedding party, the engaged couple feels too weird inviting her to the ceremony. Jared was quick to jump in and say that while he doesn’t want to make her sad, the wedding is, of course, about him and Ashley above all else.
Naturally, Nick himself rebukes Vanessa Grimaldi’s claims. He chimed in in the comments section of an E! News post.
"Huh?? That person isn’t me. Ashley and Jared’s wedding is Ashley and Jared days. Looking forward to enjoying the day with them and everyone they want to celebrate it with."
There’s a lot to consider in this minor Vanessa Grimaldi/Nick Viall feud. For one thing, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if Ashley and Jared really had decided to forego extending Vanessa a wedding invite since Nick is set to be such a big part of the ceremony. As Jared pointed out, it’s their big day and they deserve to eliminate all possibilities of drama.
Secondly, it seems a touch unfair for Vanessa to break down and blame Nick specifically for the trouble. It especially seems inappropriate to freak out on a highly publicized podcast with Jared himself, as this is his wedding and any ill feelings are likely aimed to score some guilt or at least some sympathy from him.
Whatever drama is going down, we hope it calms down soon. The Haibon/Iaconetti wedding has been a long time coming and these two deserve an absolutely perfect ceremony.
