Reality star Jeremy Roloff does NOT like The Bachelor. Here’s what he had to say in the new book he has coming to market soon.
Look, we get it: The Bachelor isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. As a fan of the show, surely you’ve heard at least one person you know making fun of it or outright trying to get you to stop watching. While The Bachelor has obtained a large and still growing celebrity following over the years, there are still some notable hold outs (booo). Jeremy Roloff is the latest star to condemn our favorite ABC series.
Who is Jeremy Roloff? You may have caught him during his time on Little People, Big World, the TLC series that centered on his parents’ lives as Little People. Jeremy is in no way an A List celebrity, but he does have a pretty devoted fan base. In fact, it’s big enough that he has recently published his own book.
His new text, A Love Letter Life, is pretty highly anticipated. And as with any tell-all sort of book, Jeremy’s has already experienced some online passage links. One of these passages goes straight for the jugular when it comes to The Bachelor.
In the book, Jeremy allegedly explains how he had to talk his wife out of watching the series. He calls The Bachelor poisonous and parasitic, a show that “does not align with collective values.”
Obviously, Jeremy Roloff is entitled to his own opinions. He’s never made it a secret that he is highly religious, so this admission about his hating The Bachelor doesn’t exactly come out of nowhere. It’s hard to imagine him celebrating Fantasy Suite week when he very publicly put off sex until marriage in his own relationship.
Still, poisonous? Parasitic? That seems kind of extreme. At its worst, The Bachelor exploits petty drama, but it’s hard to imagine that many of its dedicated viewers see the fast-paced dating style as a viable option for everyday life. How much harm can it really do?
