Neil Lane doesn’t usually disappoint, but The Bachelor winner Cassie Randolph doesn’t want the ring he made her. Here’s why she returned it.

By now, we all know the news: Cassie Randolph may have won her recent season of The Bachelor, but she is still not engaged to Colton Underwood. After a truly dramatic start to their relationship, this controversial pair agreed to continue dating one another without Colton actually putting a ring on it.

All that being said, there is actually still a ring in the mix. No, Colton didn’t get to take his Neil Lane pick straight from the set of the show. The Bachelor has strict rules about when you do or do not get to keep that shiny gem. He did, however, get gifted a Neil Lane piece courtesy of late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

In this teaser for E!’s Lady Gang show, Colton reveals that he did get that ring ready for Cassie. . . but she didn’t like it. The double halo look he had ready for her was jokingly called a “Super Bowl ring” and the ladies of Lady Gang didn’t seem too surprised that Cassie wasn’t into it. Uh-oh. So what’s a Bachelor to do?

Colton, ever the dutiful boyfriend, opted to return the ring for Cassie. He actually called his girlfriend while he was filming the show and she commented simply, “”I just have a particular idea in my mind.”

So what’s the etiquette here? Was it tacky for Cassie to return her ring from The Bachelor or was that totally justifiable as she didn’t have a hand in picking it? As many fans have been hesitant to support these two as a couple, the argument will almost certainly be made by someone that this is a sign of further turbulence to come in their relationship.

But what do you think, Bachelor Nation? Will Cassie change her mind and sport that “Super Bowl ring” still?
