Would you like to see a reality star as the Bachelorette? Maybe you can get on board with this fan campaign to see a TLC leading lady on our fave series.

In case you missed this year’s cycle of drama, The Bachelorette experienced a LOT of controversy before its next star, Hannah Brown, was ever even announced. During this season of The Bachelor, contestant Caelynn Miller-Keyes and eventual winner Cassie Randolph came under fire for allegedly campaigning for the position. Later, reality star Khloe Kardashian and her famous family got in what was basically a full-on war with creator Mike Fleiss after he announced that the influencer was being considered for the starring role.

The girls of Colton Underwood’s season may be home already and Khloe may have tired out the Twitter feud, but Bachelor Nation isn’t done with stirring up a little excitement regarding The Bachelorette. There is currently a very active online campaign to see another reality star, Jana Duggar, starring as the lead for next year’s season 16.

In case her last name didn’t give her away, let us fill you in: Jana Duggar is one of the stars of TLC’s hit reality shows 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. She and her family are well known for their fundamentalist Christian views and heavy emphasis on courtship and dating.

While many of her siblings got married at a very young age, Jana remains the oddball out as she is 29 and still single.

Her fans are definitely looking to change that status. Under online articles about Jana, there are always several comments trying to pitch her as the Bachelorette. On Reddit, the campaign continues. Folks just want to see Jana finally finding Mr. Right.

Is The Bachelorette really the right starring vehicle for her though? Ehhhh, probably not.

For one thing, this is a series that centers completely around dating. The Duggar family famously prohibits one-on-one dates unless a strict set of rules are followed that guide physical intimacy. It’s hard to imagine Jana willingly signing up to be on a show that constantly shows her alone with a man.

Then, of course, one has to consider the Fantasy Suites. This is that point in The Bachelorette where the show stops beating around the bush and just puts the topic of sex right out in the open. Can’t imagine the Duggar fam getting on board with that concept either.

Add all this to the fact that Jana would likely only consider a suitor with a hardcore Christian background like hers and it feels incredibly unlikely that this TLC star will ever see the mansion during cocktail hour. Still, crazier things have happened on The Bachelorette. . .
