Bachelor Nation is excited to welcome Hannah Brown as the new Bachelorette. We already know a little about her, but here are 5 more facts you need to know.

ICYMI: Hannah Brown, Beast, Toast-Master and bug-eating extraordinaire, will return to our favorite series as the Bachelorette for season 15! We’ve already covered some spoilers for her new season (you can catch those here), but have yet to dive into some of the essential tidbits you need to know about this new leading lady. Read on for 5 fast facts you’ll want to learn about Hannah Brown!

5. Her undergrad and current career don’t actually match

As you might have guessed, Hannah Brown didn’t want to give up her Alabama roots when she went to college. Consequently, she chose to stick close to home by attending the University of Alabama, where she graduated with a bachelor in communications in 2017. She was very active there and even joined a sorority.

Surprisingly, though, Hannah isn’t currently using that communications degree. She discovered a love for design and put those skills to use as an interior decorator. She studied the craft with designers at Gracefully Done.

4. She used to work as a makeup artist and hair stylist

According to her LinkedIn profile, Hannah Brown also used to have the magic touch when it came to hair and makeup. She actually worked as a stylist throughout college. We can totally understand this one; I mean, did you see her killer look at the Women Tell All? Maybe all those pageants paid off in more than just scholarships by giving her some major beauty skills.

3. She’s a major dog lover

Always good to have an animal lover leading the pack on The Bachelor or Bachelorette! A quick look at some old Instagram posts from Hannah Brown will reveal that she can’t get enough of the furry pups! Here’s hoping that her season gets a doggy cameo just like Colton did with Sniper?

2. She believes in old school chivalry

Hannah G. may have been the Hannah to spotlight an etiquette class on the last season of The Bachelor, but Hannah Brown is just as firmly a believer in some southern charm. She’s talked about wanting a guy who will open her car door for her or pull out her chair.

This is an interesting tidbit to consider as we’ve already met a handful of her suitors on The Bachelorette. Will a joke like Luke S.’s “going down” really be the ticket to this Southern Belle’s heart?

1. She’s very open about mental health

Hannah Brown is keeping no secrets when it comes to her anxiety and depression. She actually took a break from pageants in order to better preserve her mental health. She also visits elementary schools, where she talks about how to combat these kinds of personal problems.

We’re totally here for that. Mental health still isn’t talked about enough and it will be great to see a Bachelorette giving that issue the spotlight.

So what’s your take, Bachelor Nation? Let us know if you have another interesting fact to add to this list about Hannah Brown!
