Say hello to the Bachelorette! Filming details, selection process and more
SPOILER ALERT: The identity of the Bachelorette has finally been revealed! Read on for details about her upcoming season.
The moment we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived: our favorite series has given us the identity of our next leading lady. None other than pageant queen and resident beast HANNAH BROWN will be the Bachelorette for season 15!
As per usual, her casting will be something of a controversy. Hannah Brown split the fan base early on after she openly feuded with fellow contestant Caelynn Miller-Keyes (recap all that drama here!). Despite the rough beginning, though, she won over plenty of hearts when she was cut from the show and delivered what might have been the classiest exiting line ever: “I will not allow myself to not feel chosen every single day, and I’ll wait ‘til whenever that is.”
Despite the announcement just barely coming out that she is the Bachelorette, we already know quite a bit about Hannah Brown’s season. Here’s your official spoiler alert, because we’re about to break down all the details we know so far!
Filming locations
Yes, we know it’s early, but there’s already quite a bit of footage floating around that shows Hannah Brown strutting her stuff as the Bachelorette. Most of the good stuff comes to us courtesy of Reality Steve. Check out a few of his tweets below!
How she was chosen
The Bachelorette creator Mike Fleiss revealed on Twitter that the show interviewed five women for the coveted spot of leading lady. He even teased their initials: T, H, D, C, H. So what gave Hannah Brown the edge? Reality Steve swoops in once again with an interesting theory that Hannah B. may have had the edge over the other favorite, Hannah G., as she was simply involved in more drama this season. Drama leads to good ratings!
Sorority drama
Before Hannah was ever actually confirmed as the Bachelorette, TMZ posted a rumor that her sorority had denied filming access to the show’s producers. Apparently it had to do with a security concern. Honestly, we can’t blame them for this one. Still, it would have been interesting to see what kind of friend group Hannah had in college!
Lower numbers from Cali
Realty Steve gave us one last juicy tidbit as he collected profiles on all of Hannah Brown’s suitors: apparently out of 15 men he assessed, only one of them was from California. Anyone who has ever watched even a single episode of The Bachelorette or The Bachelor knows that this is quite the anomaly. And honestly? It feels pretty refreshing!
So what do you think, Bachelor Nation? Are you excited for the new pick? Or ready to tune out next season? Let us know your thoughts!
