1. Caelynn had a Me Too Moment

The Bachelor kind of made history this year. Who can forget that total bombshell contestant Caelynn Miller-Keyes dropped during her first one-on-one date with Colton?

It was on this date that Caelynn opened up about being sexually assaulted in college. The story was absolutely raw and brutal. She spared no detail, describing how a group of boys had spiked her and her friends’ drinks before taking advantage of them while they were unconscious.

The worst part? Caelynn went on to describe how justice was never fully served. The boys were not punished to the full extent that they could have been.

In another great twist of the season, Colton had the best response to Caelynn’s heartbreaking story. He described to her how he had actually dated a victim of sexual assault. While he didn’t name the girl outright, we can safely assume that he was referencing Aly Raisman, the Olympic gymnast who bravely testified against her abuser, Larry Nassar. The two dated long before Colton’s season ever began.

Honestly, this shocking one-on-one reminded us why the series is still so relevant and that it has truly changed for the better over the years.
