4. Hannah B. was sent home after meeting the parents
With a usual 30 women starting off a season of The Bachelor and exactly one Neil Lane engagement ring on the line, we always know that we can expect some brutal cuts to be made. Fan favorite contestants will get axed one by one until the Bach can finally pick which lady is his true love.
This season, though, Colton didn’t waste any time in cutting the women who couldn’t keep his attention. He quickly gathered a reputation for sending ladies packing if they got into feuds or if they couldn’t open up fast enough.
After barely surviving her own one-on-one date early in the season, pageant queen Hannah Brown began to earn her place in our hearts as a quirky and awkward fan favorite. She survived the world’s most uncomfortable toast, so it seemed like she had a pretty solid place in Colton’s heart.
You can imagine our surprise, then, when Colton sent her home during her second one-on-one. She came into the date with a look to kill, sporting a breathtaking pink dress and optimistic attitude that really put us in her corner. Watching her drive away felt like Colton’s dumbest mistake to date.
Our feelings of heartache were only reinforced when Hannah somehow managed to maintain her class through the tears. She dropped this amazing one-liner on us, thereby solidifying her “Bachelorette edit” as one of the strongest of all time: “I will not allow myself to not feel chosen every single day, and I’ll wait ‘til whenever that is.”
