Hannah Brown has made her exit from The Bachelor and now she’s spilling all the dirt. Here’s what she has to say about “falling in love” with Colton.

The Bachelor might be a reality series, but we all know that a final magic touch goes a long way in convincing us that several of the on-screen relationships are the stuff of romance novels. Now that she’s gone from the series (RIP), former contestant Hannah Brown is opening up about how she feels The Bachelor purposely misrepresented her feelings for Colton.

In an talk with ET’s Lauren Zima, Hannah commented that viewers may have been led to believe that she was more deeply committed to Colton than she actually was. To clarify, she said that it’s important to know that she was falling in love with the Bachelor rather than already in love with him.

A previous episode of the show seemed to feature Hannah explicitly telling Colton’s mother that she was in love with him. Apparently, the moment was entirely fabricated by some savvy ABC editing. “I know I’m weird, but not that weird,” Hannah teased.

We’re inclined to believe Hannah at this point. On the night Colton cut her from The Bachelor, she gained a strong internet following for having a truly classy response to her ending. “I will not allow myself to not feel chosen every single day,” she said on her limo ride home.

Sure, she shed some tears, but the upbeat outlook on life and her willingness to move on lead us to believe that Hannah probably wasn’t quite in that “true love” phase, just as she told ET she wasn’t.

Hannah doesn’t seem to have it out for The Bachelor and neither do we. Some editing for dramatic effect is definitely to be expected. Still, could an episode edit that made Hannah look like the lovesick victim affect her chances of going on to become the next Bachelorette?

She told ET that taking on that starring role would be an opportunity she’d “love to have.” What do you think, Bachelor Nation? Should Hannah Brown get another shot at love?
