The Bachelorette creator Mike Fleiss has been teasing casting Khloé Kardashian as the new star of the show. Here’s why that might not be the best decision.

We’re already facing the end of Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor and you know what that means. . . it’s almost time to pick the Bachelorette! Ever since this season of the show started, fans have been going wild with suggestions from Colton’s cast and from past seasons.

Since her early departure, Elyse has been a fan favorite to take on the Bachelorette mantel. Similarly, Hannah B. has been getting a lot of grassroots support ever since she had such a classy exit on last week’s episode. When it comes to contestants from past seasons, Danielle Maltby has been a low-key favorite.

The Bachelorette creator, Mike Fleiss, has a different idea.

Ok, so don’t get too excited yet. The Bachelorette and The Bachelor both seem to tease celebrity stars every season and they basically never work out. We’ve seen big promises before and this could 100% be a publicity stunt.

Still, with Khloé Kardashian having recently come away from such a nasty breakup, we’d bet she’d be down for the experience. That being said, would it really be the best idea to have her on?

We’re here for The Bachelor, not Keeping Up With the Kardashians. With Khloé involved (and undoubtedly mama Kris), we’d be signing up for a very different show. At least half of the reason The Bachelorette is so watchable is because we love getting to watch a normal, every-day girl getting to play fairy tale princess.

While a Khloé-driven season would certainly make for interesting and highly dramatic entertainment, it strips away the core of the series. Also, after having her star, could we ever go back to having an every-day girl as lead after that? The transition would prove rough.

We’re open to Khloé star on The Bachelorette, but Mike Fleiss should definitely be aware of the limitations. Tweet at him!
