The Tayshia v. Caelynn debacle has split Bachelor Nation. Now, former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky is weighing in on that situation and more.
Ugh, it’s been way too long since the Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky last graced our screens! Thankfully, we fans get a little tidbit of her sage wisdom now. She recently opened up in an exclusive PEOPLE Now interview, where she talked about her thoughts on Colton’s season of The Bachelor.
Surprisingly, Ali was very open about welcoming some of the lighter house gossip during her season of the show. This isn’t to say that she wanted to engage in any he-said she-said behavior, rather, she wanted to reward those contestants who seemed to want to honestly keep her in the know about what was going on behind the scenes in the mansion.
All that being said, she thinks that Colton is perhaps taking things a little too far. Specifically, Ali offered up some criticism of Tayshia Adams. She seemed to feel that Tayshia was wasting her time by talking about the other women, especially when her opinions seemed mostly based on speculation.
Altogether, Ali Fedotowsky’s comments seemed spot on. She was the Bachelorette a long time ago now (she starred in season six!) and the years seem to have given her quite a bit of time to reflect on what works and what doesn’t work over the course of the series.
I tend to trust her take on Tayshia more than anyone else’s, in light of her own very open approach to house gossip. Ali seems to understand that there must be a balance between dating in a bubble and listening to too many complaints. A Bachelor or Bachelorette can’t just pretend that drama isn’t going down, but it would be stupid to let it overwhelm them. . . hence her light criticism of Colton’s willingness to listen to anyone and everyone.
What do you think? Is Ali’s breakdown of this season spot on or has time aged her opinions for the worst? Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.
