We all know that two of the Bachelor contestants, Caelynn and Hannah B, have a past together. Did you know they aren’t the only ladies who knew one another?
By now we could probably write a novel on all we know about Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Hannah Brown’s rivalry on The Bachelor. Right from night one, it was impossible to miss that they knew each other from before the show.
But they aren’t the only contestants who share a history! Cassie Randolph and Heather Martin, two front-runners for Colton’s heart, actually share an alma mater.
Life & Style reports that the girls both attended Biola University before heading on The Bachelor. Heather graduated in 2017 with a degree in Marketing, while Cassie donned the cap and gown in 2016.
They did know each other there, but were never super close. Still, a source close to one of the Bachelor ladies said that they “were friends” and that Heather was relieved to see Cassie waiting in the mansion on night one.
Their shared history at Biola University is actually more significant than it would seem at first glance. Recently, Accept This Rose wrote about how Cassie is currently starring on another reality show called Young Once (get all the juicy details and a link to watch here). This online docuseries centers on Christian students from Biola and showcases their commitment to a conservative lifestyle that is largely sex, drugs and alcohol-free.
That doesn’t exactly sound like your typical kind of contestant on The Bachelor right? The series is known for loading up its contestants with constant cocktails and allegedly even requiring ladies to get an STD test before appearing on television.
Now that we know both Heather and Cassie attended such a conservative university, it makes some aspects of their personalities make more sense, like how Cassie was freaking out about not being a virgin or how Heather had never been kissed before. It also accounts for their friendly relationship; perhaps the girls would be less likely to feud like Caelynn and Hannah B. if they share a sense of strong core beliefs.
