Interested in learning more about Cassie Randolph’s other reality series, Young Once? Don’t worry! We broke down an episode to fill you in.

It was recently revealed that a popular contestant on The Bachelor, Cassie Randolph, was also currently starring in another reality show: Young Once. This online docuseries follows Christian students at a conservative college called Biola University. You can learn more about her time on the show here.

We checked out this first episode to see what Cassie is like when she’s not gearing up for a rose ceremony. Here are a few of the most interesting things we learned!

She’s looking for something serious

Cassie’s school seems to have a very distinct culture. In this first episode, one of the students commented, “Everyone around here is trying to find a spouse.” Dating is a big deal at Biola.

This leads us to believe that Cassie is on The Bachelor for the right reasons. She wants to find true love!

She had a long term boyfriend

Cassie Randolph isn’t the only star of Young Once. Her ex, Caelan Tiongson, is also a major player. According to Cassie, they were together for “so long,” but by the time the show filmed, they were more of an on-again off-again couple.

This is another great reason to believe in Cassie Randolph’s success on The Bachelor. She showed on Young Once that she was willing to try to make a relationship work and that she was only willing to commit to a good guy in the first place.

Since Cassie’s time on Young Once, Caelan has come out to defend his ex-girlfriend’s appearance on The Bachelor. They seem to be on good terms, with Caelan even posting a super supportive Insta post that featured a throwback pic of the pair.

She’s super Californian

Seriously, she’s like the definition of a surfer girl. In nearly every shot, you can catch Cassie Randolph skateboarding, running or even just donning Cali’s signature short shorts. She seems to be very much the same girl that was featured in her Bachelor intro video.

She drinks

This was a major plot point in the episode of Young Once that we watched. Cassie was okay with drinking, but her ex Caelan wasn’t. If this sounds like a foreign problem to you, consider that Biola University has a strong no-drugs, no-drinking culture. It makes sense that Caelan would be concerned.

This aspect of Cassie Randolph’s backstory certainly makes her stand out among the other contestants on The Bachelor. The ABC series is well-known for letting the cocktails flow.
