3. Playa Escondida Resort (Bachelor in Paradise)

Of all the Bachelor filming locations, Playa Escondida is probably the most popular resort destination among fans. Not only is this where Bachelor in Paradise films, but it is also, well, a literal paradise! I’m talking white, sandy beaches. Gorgeous palm trees. All the futons and open bars you could ever dream of. Just writing about it makes me want to schedule a trip right now.

Luckily, I can do just that! Playa Escondida Resort is located in sunny Sayulita, Mexico. As a point of reference, Sayulita is about forty minutes away from Puerto Vallarta.

In real life, Playa Escondida is just as gorgeous as it is on the TV show. It has a spa, a poolside restaurant and even a private beach. At nighttime, one goes home to one of four different tiers of villas.

Surprisingly, Playa Escondida is reasonably priced for a resort getaway. The cheapest rooms (billed as the “tropical view”) range from $165 to $225 per night. I’m not saying this is Motel 6 cheap or anything, but that’s actually pretty great when you consider all the free amenities you get to come with it.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for the absolute nicest accommodations, a beachfront view can cost you up to $495 a night. Hey, that’s still cheaper than some Disney resorts!

At that price point, many of us can afford the trip that makes us all feel like contestants in Paradise. Still don’t believe me? Just check out the resort’s website, where plenty of pictures will transport you away to Wells’ bar or different proposal spots.
