A pirate’s life for Colton

We launch into this preview with a glimpse at a pirate-themed date. Faithful Bachelor fans knew that there’d be an outrageously tacky date coming sometime, right?

While some of the girls are having fun getting into the swashbuckling action, Hannah B. is brooding. Despite her one-on-one (which usually puts a contestant’s mind at ease), she’s becoming increasingly fixated on Caelynn’s interactions with Colton. She vows to let him “know who [Caelynn] truly is” and, despite that eye patch taking up a third of her face, you can really feel the determination.

As for Caelynn’s side of this? She doesn’t look like she’s giving it much thought at all.

For an athlete like Colton, you just had to guess that The Bachelor would feature him getting his workout on at least once on a date. There’s a lot of stretching going on here, with a physical subtext that does not go over the ladies’ heads.

When the lights are low

At a group date after party, Demi continues to get aggressive with Colton. She even blindfolds and spanks him! Hey, kudos to her. The Bachelor has proven time and again that villains can stay in a leading man’s good graces if they put on a little kink.

Meanwhile, Tracy is stewing once more. Surprisingly, it’s not she who gets in a confrontation with Demi. Instead, the over-confident 23-year-old is facing off with Twitter favorite contestant Courtney.

Hear Hannah roar

In easily my favorite moment from the episode trailer, we return once more to a still-brooding Hannah B. She watches a carefree Caelynn while commenting that she has a “beautiful monster inside of her” and that the beast is about to come out. Cue that mighty roar that makes me want to curl up under a blanket and die.
