Their relationship may be over but the drama isn’t. This week Dean Unglert made some bitter comments about Lesley Murphy and Bachelor Nation.

It was only a few days ago that Bachelor Nation’s Lesley Murphy was introducing her new boyfriend to the world. Murphy had first hinted at a new relationship back in November, but it was only now that she confirmed her new beau was named Alex Kav.

While many fans seemed happy for her, there was one jaded Bachelor alum: Murphy’s ex, Dean Unglert.

We all remember Dean, right? This baby faced former fan favorite from Rachel Lindsay’s season met Murphy during Bachelor Winter Games and the pair seemed to hit it off. They dated for a whirlwind 4 months before parting ways.

While Dean isn’t specifically, viciously coming after Lesley–he actually wished her well in comments made during this interview with Access–he is coming after all of Bachelor Nation. The former star went on to say that he is absolutely done with the franchise. He claims that all of the relationships built on the show are either faked or forced and that he will never again go on one of the series to pursue romance.

“I think contestants on The Bachelor will prioritize a relationship over the person, right?” he says. “So they’re like, ‘I love being in a relationship more than I love you as a person’ and that stuff, it sucks.”

. . . okay, Dean.

These comments come off as far more jaded than genuine. He sounds like he’s simply been wounded, especially considering that the guy has not only been on one Bachelor series. He’s been on THREE! Why keep coming back for more, Dean?

Look, we’re not saying that he doesn’t have room to change his mind. Still, history seems to imply that Dean used to very much “believe in the journey.”

We hope things get better for you, Dean! No one feels great watching an ex move on. If he’s truly done with The Bachelor, here’s to hoping that he finds love somewhere else.
