The time has come for witty tweets and viral gifs! Check out our breakdown of Twitter’s reaction to The Bachelor’s episode 1.
The premiere is over and, boy, did it break the mold. Was ABC trying to reinvigorate things after a few Bachelor picks that flopped? Were they just looking to make things “fun?” Whatever went down, the internet had some thoughts. The masses took to Twitter to talk about the sweet, the sassy and the sloth-y.
First, there were your usual Bachelor alums making some clever quips.
I can assure you Catherine 4th time is not a charm #Thebachelor

Poor Nick. He didn’t even look too happy during the viewing party with Chris Harrison.
Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss also jumped in on the action, tweeting what we’ve all been thinking these past 23 seasons.
I am happy to announce that @chrisbharrison is not retiring and that he has just signed a new 50-year contract! The guy just doesn’t age! #TheBachelor

Raven Gates was quick to point out the obvious: Hannah G. already has Colton and the rest of the world whipped.
I’m calling it now. If Hannah Godwin doesn’t win... she will be the next bachelorette. #thebachelor

Of course, the real highlight is when the fans jump in on Twitter. Here are a few of our favorite gems:
Is Bri the girl with the fake Australian accent? We have no idea who's who because we spent 107 minutes watching watch parties. #TheBachelor

I wish that tribute video was made to announce Chris Harrison as next Bachelor. #TheBachelor.

"If the sloth gets a rose over me..." is a sentence I never knew I needed until now #TheBachelor

Sidebar: Can we talk about that sloth’s commitment to character? How come there aren’t more tweets talking about how this girl climbed a tree?! Alex D. could go far, assuming she won’t take an eternity to get there.
And, finally, a tribute to the most wounded first cut of all time. . .
