5. Carly Waddell

If we step back just a few seasons into Bachelor history, we’ll find fan favorite competitor Carly Waddell. Carly first competed on Chris Soules’ season. She lasted quite a while, sticking around until week 7. It was on Chris’ season that we first learned to love her quirky sense of humor and very genuine nature.

While Chris’ season was great, Carly’s personal shining moment came when she appeared on Bachelor in Paradise. It was on those sandy beaches that she first met Evan Bass, a former competitor on JoJo’s season of The Bachelorette. The two were not an instant hit. They had some incredibly awkward moments as Evan desperately tried to win Carly’s heart. I mean, just check out this incredibly lackluster first kiss that they shared.

Still, Evan persisted and eventually they got together. From there, they lived a fairy tale. They quickly became one of the most beloved couples in Bachelor history. Let’s be real, it’s rare that a couple even survives a season, much less turns out to be so cute together.

Praise the Bachelor powers that be, Evan and Carly are still together and happier than ever! Almost a year ago, they welcomed a baby girl into the world named Isabella Evelyn. Their daughter will celebrate her first birthday on Feb. 15.

Carly and Evan give us faith in the journey. It’s so easy to root for someone who so earnestly just wants to find true love! We’ll be rooting for them for a long time still to come.
