New clip shows contestant worried about Colton’s virginity

It’s common knowledge that new Bachelor Colton Underwood is a virgin. Is this detail continuing to bother contestants?

We all know by now that new Bachelor Colton Underwood is a virgin. The detail became a massive storyline in Becca Kufrin’s season after the former football pro revealed his secret to her. Since then, it’s blown up. Seemingly every Bachelor promo features a reference to Colton’s good boy image.

That’s why it’s surprising, then, that any of the ladies competing for Colton’s heart in season 23 seem to have an issue with his status. LINK TO MINOR SPOILER AHEAD: The season trailer revealed brief clips of trouble brewing on opening night and a new, longer clip from ABC shows one contestant going in for the jugular. She speculates with the other competitors about why he has held on to his virginity and, when given the opportunity during a one-on-one sit down, she asks him about it outright.

Now in all fairness, she’s more than allowed to have concerns about a potential partner’s sexual history. That being said, do you really want to stick around if you have that big of an issue with Colton’s life choices? While being a virgin is certainly something that can change (and Colton has hinted that perhaps his status did change by the end of the season), it’s not something you can fix going in to the start of the relationship.

It begs the question—and the cliché—is this contestant here for the right reasons? Does she really want to get to know Colton and accept him for who he is?

While the video ultimately cuts away before Colton can answer the big virgin “why,” it is revealed that the competitor admitted that his answer had the potential to bother her. Again, we have to say. . . if it bothers you now, better get out right away. There have got to be other ladies there who like Colton just as presented. Fingers crossed that this goes down a different way.
