3. He dated Aly Raisman

While Colton’s history with the Bachelor ladies is important, it’s also worth noting who he dated outside of the fandom. We can get to know the guy through his taste in dates, right?

Back in August of 2016, Colton made waves online when he created a video asking out highly successful Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman. They actually dated for quite a while, reportedly until June of 2017. Obviously the relationship was pretty significant to Colton, because he referenced it on Becca’s season of The Bachelorette. Thankfully, the split was friendly. Colton says that they are still friends and we like a guy who can play nice with an ex.

Since Aly was a famous gymnast and Colton was a former football player, it begs the question once more: is this new Bachelor looking to get with an athlete? It would be interesting if athleticism or a love for sports threw a certain contestant ahead.

It’s probably also safe to say by now that Colton has a definite type. Brunette and gorgeous seems to get you a long way with him, considering that Becca, Tia and Aly all sport similar ‘dos. You can never say for sure what connection is going to throw a new relationship over the line, but it will be interesting to see if a brunette walks away with the first impression rose. Set up your fantasy brackets now, people! All money is on an athletic, dark-haired beauty. If I were a betting woman. . .
