6. He’s a man of many states

As the football-related story behind his name would imply, Colton Underwood hails from the great state of Indiana. However, this fact might come as a surprise to many faithful fans of The Bachelor. As you may recall, Colton had Denver, Colorado listed as his hometown with the show and he and Bachelorette Becca Kufrin spent his hometown date in Aurora, Colorado. This is because his parents both live in the city, not because he’s a Centennial State boy at heart.

And get this: these aren’t the only states he has ties to. Colton actually grew up in the small town of Washington, Illinois. It was in this state that he went to college.

Even though his family has moved around a fair bit, it still seems like a decent bet that we’ll get a glimpse of at least one or two of these states. After all, viewers want to see the places and people that informed a star’s upbringing. It’s important to explore the history that made Colton who he is. However, it seems likely that the show will make another return to Colorado, as this is where we went to visit Colton and the family before.

Which lucky contestant would have the advantage in a scenario like this? Likely a girl with ties to any of Colton’s favorite states. Sharing a home place is a strong connection between a Bachelor and the date of his choice. Indiana, Illinois or Colorado could work wonders for the right contestant.
