7. He’s dated 2 Bachelor  women

As with every contestant, it’s worth exploring a new Bachelor’s dating history. Colton’s is especially unique. He’s dated not one, but two different women from the Bachelor universe.

Colton started his run with the series when he appeared on season 14 of The Bachelorette. It was there that he fell in love with star of the show Becca Kufrin. And, honestly, who wouldn’t? She was adorable.

When that relationship ultimately didn’t work out for Colton, he went on to appear in the next season of Bachelor in Paradise. He was still openly torn up about the fallout from Becca’s season, but went in with an open heart, looking to heal old wounds. It was on the beaches of paradise that he rekindled an old flame with contestant Tia Booth. Their relationship was tumultuous, to say the least. It didn’t end very well, but Colton has stated in interviews since that the two of them remain friends.

It’s partly this former relationship with Tia that makes Colton a controversial pick for Bachelor star. Fans were split on whether Tia or Colton was at fault for making the relationship fail.

Can’t we all just forgive and forget, though? The timing definitely wasn’t right with Tia and–whether there were faults in the relationship or not–it’s probably worth giving him another shot at love now that things have settled down and Colton has had the chance to grow and recover from his time spent with Becca. Here’s hoping that he finally finds happiness with someone who doesn’t share some of his old baggage.
