10 facts to know about bachelor Colton Underwood
9. He used to own a restaurant
Before his time on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, Colton owned. . . a restaurant? Guess that gives some new perspective to the time he famously chowed down on hot dogs with fellow contestant Tia Booth.
This definitely seems to be one of the less known facts about our new Bachelor. The restaurant was located in Washington, Illinois and was called 4th and Goal (get it, sports fans?). It had a sports bar feel, which perfectly reflected Colton’s time spent professionally playing football. According to a local source, he originally wanted to own a restaurant because it’s a lot like sports in that the work is “fast-paced” and “a high pressure environment.”
Unfortunately, 4th and Goal no longer exists. Colton’s aunt and uncle took over and the restaurant has since been completely overhauled.
He may not be in the food business anymore, but there are still some important takeaways from Colton’s time at 4th and Goal. For one thing, he and his father remodeled the restaurant’s interior. Impressive! There will likely be many Bachelor ladies who like a take charge guy who knows how to get things done.
It’s also interesting to note that the restaurant’s menu has some California inspiration, thanks to Colton’s time spent in Oakland playing for the Raiders. Perhaps a key to his heart is some West Coast cooking? Maybe he’ll like a lady with Cali ties?
It’s all just speculation for now, but one thing is for sure: this fun fact is making us hungry for new episodes of The Bachelor!
