Emily Maynard posts photo of her kids, then has to explain why they have no pants

A cute Christmas tree photo that was posted by Emily Maynard featuring two of her kids without pants causes just a little ruckus. 

Much of the focus was on Emily Maynard on Monday night as the former Bachelorette was featured in clips from her time with Arie Luyendyk Jr. from five years ago. However, a recent photo that she shared on Instagram put the focus on her parenting skills instead. She loves to post snapshots of her kids, but one ‘pant-less’ photo had her defending her parenting skills. 

As most high-profile parents know by now, people on social media can critique everything they do and question how they choose to raise their kids. Just one photo can bring on all sorts of controversy. Emily is now a mom of four children and busy as ever these days, but she took the time to address why her kids were not wearing pants in a sweet Christmas tree and elves picture.

The Instagram photo was posted a couple days ago and featured all but her youngest child standing in front of their newly delivered Christmas tree. It was brought in by a couple of bearded elves who were seen in the photo with 12-year-old Ricki and her little brothers, Jennings, 2, and Gibson,1.  

Most people commented on how sweet the shot was of her kids and the elves. However, there was a comment made on why Ricki appeared to have no pants on and Jennings was only in a diaper. The backlash suddenly became real! Maynard’s fans quickly responded commenting on how normal that is. Even Emily got back on to defend her innocent Christmas tree snapshot. 

"1) it’s Saturday 2) it’s snowing 3) I’m changing diapers too often for pants 4) Ricki is wearing shorts."

This just goes to show that Bachelor Nation fans are quick to shoot down those comments they deem unnecessary, especially when it comes to kids. This one question may have been innocent enough, but others on social media can be quite brutal when it comes to people questioning parenting skills. 

In addition to having a pre-teen girl and two toddler boys, Emily Maynard just had another baby boy, Gatlin, a month ago. She is one busy gal! She may not have much time to tweet during Arie’s season of The Bachelor much at all, but she may surprise us with her take on who he picks each week. 

Emily may not have found love on reality TV, but she has found her prince charming after all and is living her happily ever after as a family of six.
