The Bachelor is coming up in three short weeks and to get viewers geared up, ABC has decided to give Arie Luyendyk a little boost ahead of the new season.

According to ABC, this one-hour show is a way to get everyone to fall in love with the 36-year-old race car driver all over again. It is also a chance for those who didn’t get to see him on The Bachelorette five years ago to see what this man is all about. He will be handing out those infamous red roses starting on January 1.
In the most recent preview for the Bachelor special, Arie explains that he is ready to give the franchise another chance to find someone to spend the rest of his life with. He said that he is ready to settle down and have a family of his own.
Arie thought that Emily Maynard was the one for him after falling in love with her five years ago on The Bachelorette, but he admitted that it was not to be. There is someone else out there for him and he is excited to begin his journey once again on reality TV. He will now have 29 gorgeous women to choose from. They will be introduced on the Monday night special along with a few clips on what is coming up in January.

Arie believes that he is more mature this time around and knows more of what he wants now that he is older.
