Ryan and Trista Sutter celebrate 14th wedding anniversary

Trista Sutter became the first Bachelorette where she fell in love with her husband and they have been together for 14 years now.

It looks like Bachelorette number one, Trista Sutter, was definitely there for all the right reasons. She found her man, Ryan Sutter, on the ABC reality show and they are now celebrating 14 years of marriage. They are still going as strong as ever and are spending their special day together in the open wilderness of Colorado.

Ryan sent out a sweet message on his Instagram, along with a photo of him and his bride, with a backdrop of the Colorado mountains behind them. Trista is looking quite healthy and happy to spend time with her prince charming. Here is his anniversary message to the former Bachelorette.

"“Happy 14th Anniversary to the best thing that’s happened to me in life! Thanks for going on ‘that show,’ for making me ‘that guy’, and especially for putting up with me for this long – I know it’s not easy. You make me better. You make life better.”"

The beginning of a beautiful relationship

Trista Rehn decided to give love another try after being the runner-up on The Bachelor in 2002. One year later, she become known as the very first Bachelorette.  She gave her final rose to the handsome firefighter, Ryan Sutter, and it ended with a romantic proposal.

Later that year on December 6, 2003, the lovebirds married on live television in front of millions of viewers who were instantly hooked on this addicting reality TV show. This was just the start of what is now called Bachelor Nation.

What are they doing now?

This Bachelorette couple gave hope to those who came after them looking to find their soulmate on the TV dating show. Of course, there seems to be much more drama these days than there was 14 years ago, but the franchise can also spark some romance along the way.

As for Ryan and Trista Sutter, they are raising their two kids, Maxwell and Blakesley, in beautiful Vail, Colorado. Ryan is still a firefighter after all these years. He was recently given three awards and his wife couldn’t be more proud of him.

Trista’s health

Back in June, Trista suffered a terrible seizure while she and her family were vacationing in Croatia. Since then, she looks like she is doing good. She is not taking her life for granted and has been enjoying her family and the great outdoors, and trying to stay as healthy as possible.
