Bachelor Nick Viall to star in movie with soap star Kristoff St. John

Nick Viall has officially moved on from reality TV and is ready to make his acting debut as the captain of a cruise ship in a new movie.

Was Nick Viall really looking for love when he took the Bachelor gig? Maybe not. It appears the reality star is finally putting his acting lessons to use in the upcoming movie, A Christmas Cruise.

One of Nick’s co-stars, The Young and the Restless star Kristoff St. John shared the news that Nick will appear in the movie. A quick check of IMBD shows that Viall will play the role of the captain. (Does anyone remember the Love Boat!?). Don’t expect the former Bachelor to be on the big screen when the movie comes out. Instead, we’re fairly certain that this is a Lifetime or Hallmark movie that will air on TV.

Captain Nick

According to Buddy TV, Nick “enrolled in a 4-6 week intensive acting course in Los Angeles” after he filmed the Bachelor last year. We’re not sure how much acting went into his role as the captain but it won’t be long before we hear all about it on his social media accounts.

A Christmas Cruise will be released in December, per IMDb. Nick’s co-stars include Kristoff St. John, Vivica Fox (Empire, Days of Our Lives), Jessica Morris (One Life to Live), and Rib Hills (General Hospital).

Hmm…that’s quite a few soap stars. Will we see Nick on a soap opera next?

Living the single life

Nick proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi when the Bachelor final rose ceremony was filmed last November. She moved to L.A. to live with Nick and Nick went on Dancing with the Stars shortly after the Bachelor finale aired on ABC.

Nick and Vanessa broke up in May and she moved back to Canada.

So, what was Nick supposed to do? Sit alone and think about how he didn’t find a long-term relationship after appearing on four different Bachelor franchise shows?

No way — we all know Nick was looking for fame, even if fame means playing the role of a captain on a cruise ship.

Nick recently talked about life after the Bachelor on Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti’s Almost Famous podcast. He said being single “sucks” but from the looks of the pic above, he’s having a great time in his captain’s outfit.
