Rumors that Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay didn’t show up to her engagement celebration are not true – she had things to do!

With just two weeks to go until Rachel Lindsay reveals her final pick, it’s a no-brainer that the Bachelorette star is busy. So, when rumors started circulating online that she was a no-show at an engagement celebration, one of the guys from her season set the record straight.

On Sunday, Adam Gottschalk, who was eliminated before hometowns, called out E! Online for their incorrect report about the celebration. Their headline read, “Rachel skips out on her engagement party getaway with several Bachelor nation besties.” Besties? Stop.

Okay, headlines are supposed to catch your eye. We know that. But the besties part — we can’t get past that.

Besties aside, the rumor about Rachel is not true. Of course, gossip is what makes the Bachelorette more fun. In this case, Rachel had things to do. Her friends understood — she didn’t “skip out” on her own party.

Adam, who is pretty easy on the eyes, responded to E! Online‘s story with this tweet.

“#false it was a bachelor trip & the resort happened to know Rachel was coming. Rach had other press & couldn’t attend. She’s here in spirit”

Ah, he called her “Rach.” Even though she didn’t give Adam her final rose, it sounds like they could be potential besties. Had to throw that in there.

Rachel was busy and everyone else had fun. What’s the big deal?

If you stalk check out some of the Bachelor fam on Snapchat and/or Instagram accounts, it’s clear several of them enjoyed their tropical getaway (Bachelor in Paradise Part 2?), with or without Rachel.

Watch the Bachelorette Men Tell All on Monday, July 31 followed by the season finale on August 7 at 8 pm on ABC.
