DeMario Jackson speaks about the Bachelor in Paradise scandal for the first time; says the hardest part was watching his mother cry.

The investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct between Bachelor in Paradise contestants DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios were completed last week. DeMario remained silent about the situation until today when he had a sit-down interview with E! about the scandal that made headlines for weeks. (Watch video below)

Although production resumed late last week, it’s still not clear if DeMario will be heading back to Paradise. But he is setting the record straight with the interview that will air on E! News. During the interview, DeMario talks about the emotional toll the situation had on his family, especially his mother, who has “cried every day” since the news broke.

In a clip released by E! News DeMario wiping tears from his eyes when he talks about his mother. It’s hard not to sympathize with Jackson, who made headlines nearly every day after the Paradise investigation was announced.

“It was stressful for me, but mostly for my mother. It’s hard to see your mom, like, cry every single day. My dad, he kept me extremely strong. He kept me grounded and humbled. But having your mom cry every day for something you know you didn’t do….”

The interview with DeMario Jackson will air on Monday, June 26 11 p.m. ET on E!

Hopefully DeMario will clue us in as to whether he is heading back to Bachelor in Paradise or staying away from reality TV altogether.
