The Bachelor star Nick Viall will sport a new look when he returns to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom on Monday night.

It’s not Movember but Nick Viall had a good reason for shaving off his beard this weekend. Nick revealed on Snapchat that he needed a clean face for his upcoming performance on Dancing with the Stars.

If you don’t follow Nick on social media, check out a photo of his clean-shaven face below and find out why he needed to be hair-free for his Disney Night dance.

Nick’s ‘boyish shave’

Nick has been sporting a beard and ‘stash for quite awhile now. His new look will definitely take some getting used to. The Bachelor star had a clean face on Andi’s season of the Bachelorette and went from facial hair-free to a full beard during Kaitlyn’s season.

Since then, Nick’s signature look has been a rather well-groomed beard and mustache, but that all changed on Sunday afternoon. The newly-engaged reality TV star shaved for his Disney Night performance. He will dance to “I’ve Got No Strings” from Pinocchio and revealed on Instagram that he’s “fully embracing Pinocchio” and that’s why he went with a “boyish shave.”

A puppet, not a prince?

Nick scored the role of a puppet not Disney prince, but he did find love with Vanessa Grimaldi, so there’s that. But really? Pinocchio?

You’d think after spending season after season trying to find love that ABC would at least give Nick the role of Prince Charming.

It may be worth checking out Twitter during Dancing with the Stars on Monday night. Bachelor fans will probably have some good Pinocchio jokes to tell when Nick comes on stage.

Now, we’re not saying Nick didn’t tell the truth when he professed his love for Vanessa on the Bachelor season finale. But blogger Reality Steve has stated several times that Nick took the gig “to promote his career” and he was “not interested in marrying anyone” from the show.

Despite tabloid rumors that point to Nick and Vanessa are struggling with their new relationship, their social media posts seem to indicate they are happily engaged.

Tune in to watch Nick — without his beard — on Dancing with the Stars on Monday, April 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
