Luke Pell is rumored to be heading to Paradise after losing the Bachelor gig and host Chris Harrison has something to say about that.
Former Bachelorette contestant Luke Pell was just moments away from becoming the Season 21 Bachelor star last year but was ousted by producers who gave the role to Nick Viall. For those who still can’t figure out why Luke didn’t get the gig, there appears to be more to the story than just “Nick was a better option.” To make things even more interesting, host Chris Harrison is adding a little fuel to an already crackling fire.
Earlier this week, blogger Reality Steve hinted on Twitter that he had a whole ‘lotta dirt about Luke. He followed through on his tweets with an eye-opening write-up about the reality star.
At least three ladies claim that the Nashville country music singer is a total player — Lauren Renne Hussey (Nick’s season), Jubilee Sharpe (Ben’s season), and Arielle Snyder, who was reportedly cast for Luke’s season.
Once word got out that Luke may have been trying to script his entire season by promising various women that they would win his final rose, several Bachelor fans took to Twitter and applauded the powers-that-be for not casting Luke.
Chris Harrison speaks out
Chris Harrison responded, tweeting, “Doing what’s right isn’t always doing what’s popular” and “Everything happens for a reason.”
Okay, that’s not “major shade.” It’s more along the lines of subliminal. But Harrison can’t come out and give Luke 50 lashes. It’s his job to remain a neutral. Not only with the Luke situation but amidst all of the non-stop Bachelor drama.
However, no matter how subliminal his comments were, Harrison may have purposely chime in. After all, there’s nothing the franchise (and ABC) loves more than ratings. A bit of controversy can’t hurt, right?
Will Luke appear on Bachelor in Paradise?
Reality Steve states that he is “100 percent” sure Luke be part of the Bachelor in Paradise cast this summer. His appearance on the show would certainly get fans talking. Maybe we will finally stop talking about Josh and Amanda.
After all, isn’t drama the whole reason fans watch Bachelor franchise shows, especially Bachelor in Paradise? And think about this…
If Luke does head to Paradise, there’s a good chance producers will cast at least one of the women who have made some not-so-complimentary claims against him. Best season ever?
