4. Production Crews Are Huge And Accompany Couples Everywhere They Go
You may think that couples are enjoying private dates in secluded locations, but that’s not really how it is. In reality, the couple is surrounded by huge crews and passers-by.
Just like in any sort of television production, privacy is very limited. In order to make a show in with scope as wide as The Bachelor it takes a good bit of set up and support. This means those lovely, intimate dates are really playing out in front of lots of other folks. Every shoot needs a handful of camera men, several producers, and can often draw a crowd of hundreds of onlookers.
The Australian version of The Bachelor is no different, and The Daily Mail acquired some behind the scenes photos of one of their dates. As you can see, there are all sorts of folks, just off-camera, reacting and participating with the action right in front of them.
Although couples do their best to stay in the moment, it’s certainly hard with so many other bodies invading their bubble. It becomes impossible when shooting is interrupted for producers to demand another take or a reminder to put on more sunscreen.
This is just a further reminder that we’re are definitely watching a television show, and we should suspend our disbelief accordingly. When you get lost inside a romantic moment during one of these fantasy dates, just remember there were probably more than two dozen folks standing around making it happen.
