50 secrets only true Bachelor fanatics know

7. Before Nick Viall, Contestants Didn’t Even Acknowledge That Sex Happens
Nick is our current (and my very favorite) Bachelor, and he’s known for shaking things up. Mostly because he’s not afraid to acknowledge that sex happens on a show about love. GASP!
This season marks Nick’s fourth attempt to find love, but he’s been completely honest about what happens behind clothes doors. From the start, he hasn’t acted like folks don’t hook up, and has been completely forthright when it comes to the act.
After being dumped by Andi, he asked her a very candid question in the season 10 “After the Final Rose” episode. He asked, “If you weren’t in love with me, I’m not sure why you made love to me.” This shocked audiences. It was the first time anyone, male or female, had come right out and said it. Of course, we all knew what happened when they were alone, but Nick said it out loud, and people loved him for it.
Nick responded to all the fuss in his signature, authentic style. He declared, “I was very polarizing: Either you loved me or you hated me. Guys would be more misogynistic about it — they would say, I’m glad you called her out. And other women would be like, Thank you for saying, as a guy, that sex meant something to you.”
He went on to cause further uproar when he slept with Kaitlyn Bristowe in their Fantasy Suite date. The fall-out was mostly due to Kaitlyn’s morning after guilt. She said in her in the moment interviews, “The off-camera time I had with Nick was so great, but I’m definitely feeling guilt. I’ve never dated this many guys and had to feel this guilt before.”
