After the announcement that Nick Viall will be on the upcoming season of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ his ex Kaitlyn Bristowe took to social media to vent.
Many of the gents from The Bachelor franchise have had the opportunity to be on Dancing with the Stars, but none of the ladies from the show have ever been featured.
After People Magazine tweeted this article about the new DWTS cast, Whitney Bischoff from The Bachelor, tweeted back to them, asking why a Bachelorette has never been on the show. She included Kaitlyn Bristowe in her tweet, saying she wanted to see her “shake her tail feather.”
why does a bachelorette never get this gig @BachelorABC?!? I wanted to see @kaitlynbristowe shake her tail feather!

Bristowe quickly replied to this question, saying that she was actually asked to be on the show. According to her tweet, ABC told her she wasn’t allowed to accept the offer to dance.
Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess told me I wasn't allowed. He said he didnt want people wanting fame after his show🤔 https://t.co/nSzricohi4

According to her tweet, creator of The Bachelor, Mike Fleiss, told her that she wasn’t allowed to participate. Of course there’s no way to know if this is true, but it does certainly seem odd that four Bachelor gents have been on the show, and no women have had the chance.
Since Bristowe called creator Fleiss out, he tweeted at her, saying that she has his “total support.”
@kaitlynbristowe has my total support if she wants to appear on DWTS!!! #TheBachelor

That seems a little out of touch for him to be giving her permission now. Of course Bristowe didn’t let it end there.
She replied to Fleiss’ ‘permission’ tweet:
Thanks I'll get right on that opportunity 2 yrs ago. I wonder what changed your mind? 🙄 https://t.co/8QMr8XHsIO

With a eye-rolling emoji and all, Bristowe really brought the sass. To be fair, it seems warranted, considering she said she was asked to be on the show two years ago.
