Rachel Lindsay is the new Bachelorette, and as a 31-year-old woman, it’s no surprise she’s been in serious relationships. But how serious have her past relationships really been?

Being chosen as the next Bachelorette was a big deal for Rachel Lindsay, and a great accomplishment for the African-American community. Lindsay is the first Bachelorette of color, breaking a lot barriers for a franchise that has been scrutinized for its lack of diversity.

Lindsay is 31, and has said she is ready to find a husband and start her family. Of course before being involved in the show, Lindsay had other serious relationships.

According to a source that spoke to In Touch, Lindsay was almost engaged at one point in her life. That shouldn’t come as a surprise considering her age, but it seems odd that she would never speak about it.

Many couples talk about their future, and the potential of putting a ring on it, but it seems that Lindsay is trying to cover up that part of her life.

Of course once you breakup with someone you really see the bad sides of them, and perhaps that’s what happened in that relationship. While your deeply invested in a relationship, you don’t see all the bad parts of it, you only see the good.

Hopefully in her coming time as the Bachelorette we will be able to hear more about her past relationships, and why they ended.

With the spotlight being on Lindsay and her decisions in the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, hopefully we will get more insight into why she isn’t already hitched.

The new season of The Bachelorette begins on May 22nd on ABC.
