If you’ve ever wondered what happens inside The Bachelor mansion when they’re not filming – a real family lives there.

The infamous Bachelor and Bachelorette mansion is home to the Haraden family when the home isn’t filled with drama and camera crews.

In an interview with ABC, father of the family, Marshall Haraden Sr. says they move all their stuff out and live in a hotel.

Marshall Sr. is a contractor who designed and build the home himself, just outside of Los Angeles. He even has the neighboring piece of land and plans to build on it.

“I got the dirt next door, I got the plans. I just haven’t built it yet,” Marshall Sr. said to ABC.

Two sons named Marshall Jr. and Nick Haraden play billiards in the room that most viewers would recognize as the rose ceremony room. To them it’s a place to unwind and have some fun, not a stressful room where your fate is determined by a single rose.

One of the sons of Marshall Sr. says his dad has even lets people come in and see the house. He goes on to say that he’s not always friendly and sometimes makes the tourists go away.

Daughter Jessica Haraden says she’s a fan of the show. “I love Chad [Johnson],” she said. When she had the chance to meet him, she said she told him the mansion was her house.

Jessica was asked why she told Chad she lived in the mansion, she quickly confessed. “That’s probably the only reason he talked to me,” Jessica said.

Hopefully openly admitting on national television that he sometimes gives fans tours of the house, doesn’t start a stampede of  Bachelor fanatics to come and find the house.

For a family that only gets to live in their beautiful home nine months a year, they seem very content with the arrangements.

Sometimes a drama-filled house for some is the normal living arrangements for others.
