The southern belle Raven turned on the charm in her hometown date in Hoxie, AR with bachelor Nick.

The connection between Nick and Raven hasn’t always been the strongest, but as the weeks go on, it’s becoming clear that she definitely has a shot at winning.

Their date seemed to be the smoothest from beginning to end, with a little make out action in the middle. The only blunder was the few moments Nick thought they were in trouble with the law. It turns out it was just Raven’s brother, who is a police officer.

The date started with the two riding ATVs around on the Hoxie soil, you could tell Raven was in her element. It seemed that her being happy and comfortable brought out the best in her as well as Nick. They’re chemistry was off the charts.

Once play time was over, and it was time for Nick to meet the family, he seemed confident and well poised, even though he was nervous.

The Gates family meeting was one of the least awkward and smoothest of the whole episode, and even emotional (in a good way). Raven’s father told everyone that he was cancer-free, and understandably everyone was very excited.

After a few tense moments and serious questions, the family opened up to Nick, and welcomed him in. Nick quickly got her father’s blessing if he were to propose.

Raven is always the girl I forget about when thinking of the finalists on the show. But after the hometown success, I think her future with Nick is more certain than any of the other remaining girls.

With the strong connection between Raven and Nick, and now her family, I think they’re chances of working out post-Bachelor are strong.

Although we wont know who Nick chooses to send home until next week, if decisions were made solely on family acceptance it seems Raven can sit comfortably.

Until next week when we find out who Nick sends home, stay here on Accept This Rose for everything The Bachelor.
