Chris Harrison apologizes for ‘The Bachelor’ spoiler

With the announcement of the next Bachelorette coming a bit too early, it seems that host Chris Harrison feels a bit bad.

It was announced Monday that Rachel Lindsay would be the next Bachelorette, which is amazing, except the fact she is one of the few remaining contestants on the current season of The Bachelor. 

This announcement made a lot of people happy to finally see a more diverse Bachelorette, but it made a lot of people angry because The Bachelor is now spoiled. Originally, the reveal was supposed to be made on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but the news was leaked by Reality Steve just hours before taping could occur.

Obviously, this threw everyone at The Bachelor — fans and producers alike — for a loop. It seems host Chris Harrison got wind of the anger, and took to Instragram to apologize for the spoiler.

Good o’l smooth Chris Harrison, here to save the day. It’s also worth pointing out that standing side-by-side,  Lindsay seems incredibly happy so her parade wasn’t rained on too much.

Of course this means it doesn’t work out for her on the current season of The Bachelor, but this gives her many more opportunities to find love. With the show beginning to air on May 22nd, it seems that filming will be commencing soon, and recruitment will need to wrap-up.

It’s also not Harrison’s fault that the spoiler leaked. It wasn’t as though he went out and told a tabloid or called up Reality Steve to gossip about the biggest reveal of the season so far. But the fact hatch nevertheless stepped up to try and smooth things over shows that Harrison truly cares about the show — and the fans.

Just like all the nice things Harrison said, Lindsay is a real catch, and hopefully she can find a man who is real husband material.
