Week seven of The Bachelor had half the cast sent home, leaving viewers shocked, and Danielle Lombard stunned.

During Nick Viall’s two-on-one date between Danielle Lombard and Whitney Fransway, he unexpectedly sent both of them home. On most two-on-one dates, only one of the two would be sent home, but not this time.

In an interview with ET, Lombard said she was “totally blindsided” by Viall’s decision to send her home. She was sent home during the second part of the two-on-one date, where she sat down for dinner with Viall.

"“When we were going over questions, in terms of our future goals and plans, it just didn’t line up with what he was looking for,” Danielle shared. “He said he felt like we had this incredible spark and it almost intimidated him to a certain point, where I felt like maybe he thought that momentum could be lost when the show is over. So it felt like he almost went back to his checklist and attributes of what he wanted out of a woman.”"

When the two sat down for dinner, Lombard confessed her feelings for Viall, saying that she was falling in love with him. The feelings were clearly not reciprocated, and soon after the confession, Viall sent her home.

During the early weeks of the show, the connection between the two seemed to be really strong, but has since dwindled.

Lombard talked about her connection with Viall in her interview with ET, “When we were going over questions, in terms of our future goals and plans, it just didn’t line up with what he was looking for.”

Throughout this season, Viall has been very confident in his decisions to send each of the women home. With his past failed relationships on The Bachelorette, Viall has been decisive and ready to find his future bride.

From all the things we got to see from Lombard, it’s clear that she is ready for a serious relationship. Since things between her and Viall didn’t work out, hopefully she will find her match soon.
