Before Monday’s episode of The Bachelor, news was leaked that one of the remaining contestants would be the next Bachelorette.

With only six women remaining in Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor, things are getting tense. But things took a surprising turn when one of the remaining women was announced as the next Bachelorette.

During the episode on Monday night, it was revealed that Rachel Lindsay would be the next Bachelorette. And of course, if you don’t watch the show, you may be thinking, ‘why is ABC announcing the first black Bachelorette a bad thing?’ Well here’s why, she is still on this season of The Bachelor and she’s in Viall’s top five.

So if you’re a Lindsay fan, or have her on you Fantasy League, this may come as a major spoiler alert.

After the announcement came before the ending of the episode, a lot of people suspected Lindsay to be the one going home this episode. But ultimately, it wasn’t Lindsay who got the boot this week.

This leaves a lot to the imagination for how Viall and Lindsay will end their relationship. Honestly, the two seemed to have amazing chemistry, and it is unfortunate that they don’t end up together.

Of course, as he has been all season, Viall is keeping himself on the straight and narrow only keeping the women around that he really believes he has a chance with.

As for the chances of Viall and Lindsay, there’s about a 0% chance. But now, Lindsay has the opportunity to pick from a plethora of handsome men.

This starts a whole new chapter of non-while Bachelorettes, and Lindsay is really a killer choice. With her charisma, positive attitude and not to mention wicked book-smarts, any guy would be lucky to land a woman like her.

Now let’s hope that America embraces Lindsay for the deserving person that she is. With the roles reversed, I wonder how she’ll handle the pressure.

According to ABC the 13th season of The Bachelorette will begin Monday, May 22nd.
